Background & ContextKenya Tea Growers Association (KTGA) was established in 1931 by large-scale tea producers to promote the common interests of the plantation sub-sector members in the cultivation and manufacture of tea and to promote good industrial relations amongst its members. KTGA also undertakes business advocacy and represents large-scale tea producers in Kenya. Membership is drawn from mainly the large scale tea growers spread across the tea growing regions in Kenya.
